Our professional sales team is responsible for increasing recommendations and sales of our OTC products through targeted healthcare professionals and specialists. With extensive product knowledge, category expertise and well-developed selling skills, our sales team is responsible for all aspects of their territory management and achievement of brand sales goals.
As product and category experts, the professional dermatology sales team provides dermatologists across Canada with the information, research and data needed to drive recommendations of our prescription and over the counter skincare products.
The prestige sales team works directly with beauty advisors in retail outlets across Canada to increase recommendations of Johnson & Johnson Inc. advice-based skincare products and achieve leadership in the categories in which we compete. The prestige sales team develops and implements strategies and promotional programs that are consistent with the goals of our retailers and with our brand equity and strategies.
Our sales trainers are experts in all aspects of the development, research and use of all of our products that are recommended by healthcare professionals and beauty advisors. Through a variety of training programs and tools, our trainers ensure that our entire professional sales team has the knowledge and skills they need to excel as strategic business partners to their customers, driving sales and leadership positions for our brands.
As the key liaison between professional sales and professional marketing, the strategic business planners analyze key performance metrics and identify opportunities to enhance business performance and optimize processes.
Our finance team members are critical business partners in creating value and driving business results. Deeply connected to our business at all levels, our finance team plays a strong leadership role as members of the sales teams and marketing business units. Our finance department is structured to maximize value and achievement of business results with key strategic functions in corporate finance, tax, and compliance, in addition to business-based sales and marketing roles.
Finance offers roles in several key functional areas. Within and across each of these functional areas, your career could progress from an entry-level analyst role to a director level or vice-president position.
Our corporate finance function is responsible for all aspects of our financial reporting and treasury to ensure sound and compliant financial reporting and practices that are aligned with and support the achievement of our overall business strategy and goals.

The compliance function is responsible for the development, communication and execution of policies, practices and processes that ensure we meet all internal and external Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and standards. The compliance team leads the education and training process to ensure understanding and ownership of compliance requirements by all employees at all levels in the organization.

Customer business development roles are business unit focused and are responsible to lead the achievement of a sales forecast and market share growth goals in a specific account or group of accounts on the brands within their business unit.
Category Solutions creates a competitive advantage through applying and executing best practices in category management, shopper insights, merchandising, pricing and promotional strategies. With their retail partners, the Category Solutions team leverages a comprehensive understanding of the shopper journey to deliver the perfect purchase moment in store to shoppers.
As key members of the customer sales teams, the shopper marketing functions are responsible for the development, planning and execution of significant customer-specific programs or unique concepts that support customer goals and create competitive advantage for Johnson & Johnson Inc. This team has a strong understanding of consumer shopping behaviour, customer demand generation drivers and brand strategies.
Uniquely knowledgeable in brand and sales strategy, as well as customer and shopper dynamics, sales strategy plays a lead role in ensuring the successful execution of new product launches and major national promotions.
The sales operations and processes group enables the commercial sales organization through governing sales technology, operational sales forecasting and planning, managing enterprise communication vehicles, sales training and incentive plan administration. The enterprise efforts of this team enable fluid execution, flow of communication and informed decision making within the commercial sales organization.
Our customer business analysts are responsible for providing analytical support to our customer teams. Utilizing numerous customer-specific and internal data points, analysis and diagnostic reporting is provided to our customer teams in order to identify performance and trends impacting the business.
Quality Assurance (QA) aims to deliver innovative solutions and sustainable compliance. As the owners of the quality management system, QA assures our company consistently provides products that meet our high standards for quality and safety as well as all regulatory requirements. By enabling a robust and efficient product supply process and protecting and enhancing brand equity, the QA team plays a critical role in supporting profitable compliant growth for Johnson & Johnson Inc.
Quality operations is primarily responsible for quality control and assurance functions for the production plant including laboratory analyses and automation improvements; validation and technology transfers; change control assessment and standard operating procedures, specifications and policy management.
Primary responsibilities for quality compliance include coordination of testing at contract laboratories and provision of quality assurance functions for all contract manufacturers supplying products marketed in Canada; disposition of contract manufactured goods; coordination of continuous improvement projects; management of quality agreements and compliance audits; and oversee quality systems.
The primary role of our regulatory affairs team is to ensure that our products and product claims are compliant with all Canadian regulations and requirements. Working closely with the marketing, research and development and quality assurance teams, our regulatory team plays a key leadership role in our new product launch and consumer advertising development processes.
Our regulatory affairs managers are an integral part of our product development, launch and advertising process. Regulatory managers help guide the early stages of product and product claim development by determining the best regulatory strategy needed to bring a product quickly and effectively to market, and work with Health Canada throughout the approval process. As knowledgeable experts, our regulatory affairs managers also play a key role in working with Health Canada in the development of new regulations.
Our medical information and safety team responds to queries from health professionals about our products and is responsible for pharmacovigilance, the post marketing review and reporting of adverse events for all of our products. Our safety team also reviews all aspects of our products and their ingredients before they are launched.
Our dedicated team of customer supply chain leaders work together to ensure that the right products get to the right customers at the right time, all the time. Through a complex and innovative supply management system, customer-focused teams of planners, project managers, customer service representatives and distribution experts work with focus and passion to fulfill our responsibilities to our customers, providing unparalleled service and value.
The supply planning team is responsible for the management of all logistics related to externally sourced products. Through the use of planning tools and enabled by strong analytical skills, supply planners work closely with other members of the customer logistics and sales teams to ensure inventory, customer service and cost objectives are met.
The demand planning team is responsible for development of a monthly demand forecast for every item we sell. Through a collaborative cross-functional team review process, all data and inputs are reviewed and analyzed in order to enable the demand planning team to deliver a final forecast that meets all customer order requirements and supports our inventory management goals.
The project and portfolio management team owns key new business opportunity identification processes for all our brands and franchises. As key members of cross functional teams which review and analyze new opportunities for launch in the Canadian market, the project and portfolio management team provides data, targets and analytical tools to support prioritization of opportunities and ensure the introduction of high-performance new product launches.
Our trade customization team has the overall responsibility for the enterprise-wide special pack and pre-pack process. This team has direct responsibility for the development and execution of displays that support brand strategies and meet sales and profitability targets. Working in close collaboration with many cross-functional partners, trade customization ensures special pack and pre-pack executions are logistically viable and effective. In addition, this team develops strategies and makes creative process and design recommendations that best meet the needs of our customers while achieving our internal performance metrics.

The North American IT supply chain team is a strategic partner to the customer logistics, planning, manufacturing and finance organizations. Our vision is to create the best business information technology to drive leadership in the supply chain area and finance areas and enable the innovative growth of Johnson & Johnson Inc. in Canada.
The Enterprise and Business Intelligence team ensures that our business partners have access to the foundational IT tools and resources required to support their day to day activities. This includes the network, infrastructure, mobility and telephony as well as comprehensive data analytics and reporting capabilities. Our mandate is to provide reliable, responsive and up to date technology solutions that seamlessly serve our business.
The Consumer IT Risk Assurance Team is responsible for providing compliance support to Business Unit IT and internal business partners to ensure IT compliance and Security requirements have been incorporated into local and enterprise-wide projects and day-to-day operations for all Johnson & Johnson Inc. companies in Canada. Our goal is to foster and enable a “Culture of Compliance” through targeted education and awareness training across the organization and optimize our risk profile.
Working closely with business partners throughout our company, the linguistics team ensures accurate and strategic French translation of all internal and external documents, packaging, promotional material and advertising. The linguistics team plays an active role in educating the organization on French language laws and requirements and in ensuring that we are fully compliant with these requirements. Importantly, it ensures we are effectively and thoughtfully communicating with all of our French-speaking consumers and customers.
From an entry-level junior translator to a senior translator position, linguistic services team members are responsible for providing quality, accurate and timely translations to meet business needs in both official languages. They must have perfect command of the target language, usually their mother tongue, and an excellent knowledge of the source language. Our translators are knowledgeable in all areas of our business and all categories in which our brands compete, enabling them to ensure we are effectively communicating with all of our audiences in both official languages.
Our law department provides a wide range of legal advice on all matters of compliance with local, provincial and federal laws and Johnson & Johnson policies in order to assist our colleagues in continuing to lead in a highly competitive and evolving industry, while maintaining the highest ethical standards and accountability as set out in Our Credo.
Provides leadership and direction to all facets of our business through education, guidance, legal review, contract negotiations and drafting, and development of guiding policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and improve consistency of documentation. As a member of our corporate governance team, corporate counsel provides expertise to support growth of the business and consults on new initiatives and business ventures.
Works closely with other disciplines both within our organization and in consultation with outside experts to create tools, templates and guiding policies that assist internal and external stakeholders in managing and growing their businesses. The law clerk also gathers legal requirements, researches, conducts training seminars, provides analysis and advises on execution for marketing, corporate and compliance related matters across our organization.

Reliability & Process Excellence Managers focus process improvement initiatives and programs across our businesses. They train and mentor employees on Six Sigma and other continuous improvement disciplines, enabling them to create efficient processes to improve quality, reduce costs, reduce cycle time and create value for the organization. Our managers have expert knowledge of Six Sigma and other process excellence disciplines, analytics, have well-developed project and performance management skills, and are strong communicators and trainers.
New Graduate Program – We actively recruit high-potential MBA/graduate and undergraduate students. In this one-year program, students are hired after graduation to work in a full-time capacity. They are placed on a robust development plan to give them both functional and business skills, with their manager assuming a mentoring role.
Leadership Development Program (LDP) — This 24-month program provides accelerated development to help build management skills in a select group of university candidates who have been hired full-time. Assignments can be global, within Canada or North America, or across operating companies.
